There’s something so visually satisfying about organising and colour coordinating your vanity. I don’t know about anyone else, but searching through pinterest and tumblr to find your ultimate vanity goals, is something which ignites a little spark of happiness inside me (does that make me odd? I’m not sure).
So, today I have brought my thoughts to paper… well online, to show you how to create a seriously satisfying vanity dream.
For me, white and black are key colour essentials as it creates a more spacious and brighter room.
According to colour psychology black adds “sophistication, class and elegance” whilst also representing “spirituality and mystery.”
Now, I’m not saying that I have colour psychology in mind when I organise my vanity or pin pictures to my collection, but this shows you a sense of what your brain might be processing, which to me is fascinating.
Here are a couple more examples if black isn’t for you:
Now let me show you my ultimate vanity dream.
Something simple yet vibrant. By keeping things simple using white adds more effect to items like the carpet which shows a hint of creativity.
This mirror light has always been something of a dream for me, although many people might not like such a large bright light, so perhaps opting for a smaller desk light or a hanging light would be more fitting. Like these lights from Arhaus.
Desks are obviously vital, and can be so difficult to find. I would always invest in one with side draws to keep your makeup or other necessities. (For me I would need about 100 draws to keep up with my makeup obsession… oops).
Or, if you’re not like me then maybe something like this Bone inlay console desk may spark some desire.
I love the items in this image because of the bohemian feel it has. The plants add a fresh and lively aesthetic, whilst the objects and colours are exciting and vibrant.
Overall, for me keeping it clean but adding small items like a bright carpet or an interesting light adds excitement, and is what I look for in a vanity.
So that brings me to the end of my vanity dreams, if you share any of the same obsessions as me then let me know in the comments below, and don’t forget subscribe to hear more from me soon!
